My deserving students need a diverse classroom library from various genres that are high interest and relatable in order to build lifelong learners. These engaging novels will be used throughout the school year as a mentor text to build fluency, model a variety of reading strategies to build comprehension, and inspire writing. This will also prepare my students for the rigorous expectations of the sixth grade curriculum in my English Language Arts class.
