My students were incredibly thrilled to see our \"Gotcha\" prize store fully stocked with the new mechanical keyboard clickers, mini animals, and vibrant fidget spinners. The most exciting part for them was the element of choice; they love being able to set a goal, track their positive behavior points, and independently choose a reward that genuinely appeals to them. The miniature resin animals have instantly become a classroom phenomenon, with students proudly creating little \"habitats\" for them on their desks as they work quietly.\r\n\r\nFor donors who use tech like keyboards and trackpads every day at home or work, it might be surprising to see these mechanical elements used as learning tools in a school. However, this tactile \"technology\" is doing wonders for our daily focus. Many students naturally have restless energy that can cause them to drift away during lessons. The mechanical keyboard clickers and fidget spinners act as perfect physical outlets. By keeping their hands busy with a quiet, satisfying motion, it actually frees up their minds to listen more attentively, participate in discussions, and stay glued to their assignments.\r\n\r\nWe have a few students who historically struggled with emotional regulation and sitting still during independent reading time who have completely turned around thanks to your generosity. Students are incredibly motivated to earn points for our \"Gotcha\" store, and having that physical tool to click keeps them grounded and focused for entire lesson blocks. The kids have been thrilled to use the flexible stools at their individual desks as an exciting alternative to traditional student chairs, and they love relaxing and learning together on the cozy floor cushions. The colorful dry erase circles have become an absolute favorite for drawing and interactive practice, while the library cart neatly organizes books and supplemental support work for students to easily choose from. Through the use of vertical non-permanent surfaces, my students have significantly strengthened their collaborative learning skills. I've seen clear growth in their vocabulary and communication as they work together to share and refine their ideas.\r\n\r\nIt has been especially powerful to watch how students support one another—lifting each other up and building confidence as they problem-solve collectively. The standing boards have also made it much easier for me to monitor learning across the room and engage with students in real time.\r\n\r\nThe erasable surfaces, along with the tools to write and revise, have encouraged students to take risks in their thinking.
