Because of your kindness, my 27 students now have calculators that are helping them become more confident and independent mathematicians. In fourth grade, students learn to multiply and divide larger numbers, and while many understand the process, simple computation errors can make them doubt their abilities. Instead of using calculators to do the work for them, my students first solve each problem on their own and then use the calculators to check their answers. This immediate feedback helps them identify mistakes, correct their thinking, and strengthen their understanding of math concepts.\r\n\r\nThe calculators have quickly become one of my students' favorite learning tools. They are excited to check their work, celebrate their successes, and persevere when they need to try again. For many of my struggling learners, having a way to independently verify their answers has boosted their confidence and encouraged them to take on more challenging problems. Your generosity has given them valuable tools that make math more engaging and meaningful.\r\n\r\nThe manipulatives help students build a deeper understanding of concepts such as fractions, place value, and multi-step problem solving. During both whole-group and small-group instruction, students use the materials to model their thinking, test strategies, and explain their reasoning. The excitement was immediate when the materials arrived, and students who were once hesitant in math are participating with greater confidence.\r\n\r\nBecause of your support, my students are developing stronger math skills while learning that perseverance and problem-solving lead to success. Your generosity has made a meaningful difference for my twenty-five third graders.\r\n\r\nWhen the new seating arrived, the excitement in our classroom was incredible. Students couldn't wait to try the different options, and they immediately began talking about which seats helped them feel most comfortable and focused. They felt special knowing that people they had never met cared enough to invest in their learning.\r\n\r\nWe use the flexible seating every day during reading, writing, and collaborative group work. One of my favorite moments was watching students during a reading discussion. Students who sometimes struggle to stay engaged were able to wobble, rock, or stand while participating in meaningful conversations about the text. The added movement helped them stay focused and contribute their ideas with confidence.\r\n\r\nThe flexible seating has given students more ownership of their learning environment. They enjoy having choices and have learned to select seating that helps them do their best work. As a class, we often talk about our motto, \"Always Persevere,\" and these seating options help students find the tools they need to be successful learners.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we will continue using the flexible seating during literacy centers, small-group instruction, and collaborative projects. As we work on reading comprehension, writing, and problem-solving activities, students will have the opportunity to choose the learning space that best supports their needs. We are also focusing on developing leadership skills and working effectively with others, and the flexible seating encourages productive collaboration and student independence.\r\n\r\nThank you for helping create a classroom where students feel comfortable, engaged, and empowered to learn.
