The paint pens, Sharpies, and other materials were used by more than 200 students during the spring semester, resulted in so many creative and meaningful masterpieces.\r\n\r\nStudents were especially excited to work with the new supplies and eagerly shared their thoughts. One student exclaimed, \"I love these paint pens Mrs. Davis! The colors are so bright —I felt like a real artist!\" Another proudly shared, \"I love how my Britto style painting turned out. I can't wait to give it to my mom!\" The kids were super excited to use the cardboard sheets to make sculptures. Some classes made abstract faces while other classes made smaller abstract sculptures using shapes, lines, and colors. Kids would finish a sculpture and ask, \"Can I make another sculpture Mrs. Davis?\" \r\n\r\nBecause of your generous donation, our art program is truly flourishing, and students have had the opportunity to explore creativity with high-quality materials.","fullyFundedDate":1768184954031,"projectUrl":"project/pop-art-paintings-abstract-sculptures/9988604/","projectTitle":"Pop Art Paintings & Abstract Sculptures","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Davis","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9349327_orig.jpg?crop=2316,2316,x0,y540&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1701198796042","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9349327"},{"teacherId":8160228,"projectId":9999276,"letterContent":"Thank you so very much for my flexible comfy chairs. Your donation has truly made a difference for my students, and I am so grateful for your kindness.\r\n\r\nThe technology you provided, especially the iPad, has been such a valuable addition to our classroom. While we only have one device, it has still had a big impact. I use it during small group instruction, centers, and as a reward or support tool when needed. It allows students to practice skills in a more interactive way, especially in reading and math. They are able to get immediate feedback, which helps them understand their mistakes and keep trying. It has also been really helpful for students who need a little extra support or a different way to access the material.\r\n\r\nMy students get very excited when it is their turn to use the iPad. It feels special to them, and they take it very seriously. Even students who sometimes struggle to stay focused are more engaged when they are using it. I have noticed that they are more willing to try, even when something is challenging. It has made learning feel a little more fun and motivating for them, which has been great to see.\r\n\r\nI have a few students in particular who have really benefited from having access to this technology. Some of my quieter students, who do not always volunteer or speak up in whole group settings, seem more confident when working on the iPad. They are willing to take risks and try new things without worrying about making mistakes in front of others. I also have students who need extra repetition, and the apps and programs we use allow them to practice skills multiple times in a way that keeps them engaged instead of frustrated.\r\n\r\nIn addition to the iPad, the other supplies like snacks and glue sticks have also made a big difference in our day to day classroom life. The snacks have been especially helpful for students who come to school hungry or need a little boost to get through the day. It is hard for students to focus when they are hungry, so having those available has really helped with their ability to stay on task and participate in learning.\r\n\r\nThe glue sticks may seem simple, but they are something we use all the time. Having enough supplies for everyone means we can keep lessons running smoothly without interruptions. It also helps students feel prepared and ready to learn without having to worry about not having what they need.\r\n\r\nOverall, your donation has helped create a more supportive, engaging, and positive learning environment for my students. They are more excited to learn, more willing to try, and better able to focus throughout the day. I truly appreciate you taking the time to support my classroom and my students.\r\n\r\nThank you again for everything you have done for us. Your generosity has made a meaningful difference in creating a learning environment that supports focus, regulation, and engagement for my students. With the new lighting, organizational materials, and sensory supports, our classroom now feels calmer and more structured. Many of my students thrive with predictable environments, and these resources have helped us create a space where they can better manage their emotions, stay engaged in learning activities, and transition more smoothly throughout the day.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first noticed the new materials, they were incredibly excited. Several of them immediately explored the sensory tools and began using them during independent work time. The softer lighting has also made a noticeable difference during small group instruction and quiet work periods, helping students remain calm and attentive. Seeing them feel comfortable and successful in the classroom has been one of the most rewarding moments since receiving these resources.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, we will continue using these materials to support learning during reading, math, and social skills lessons. The sensory tools and structured environment help students practice important self-regulation and communication skills so they can participate more independently in classroom activities. Students were absolutely thrilled with our new supplies and the new rug to compliment our classroom camping theme and bring new life to the classroom environment. When the items arrived, they were very curious as to what might be inside the packages.\r\nI have since laid out our new rug that we use for classroom meetings and whole class mini lessons. They like the wider spaces to be able to sit comfortably. I was teaching a unit on text features so I opened up the new set of highlighters so students could outline specific text structures as we were learning them and having fun being text feature detectives. They loved the color variety and it made learning even more fun because they were using new school supplies.\r\nThe mini charts and regular charts have been very useful for anchor chart learning and brainstorming writing ideas with sentence stems. We will be using the mini charts soon when we create our own graphic organizers to write opinion ideas of our favorite pets. We really appreciate the new supplies in our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1768162896923,"projectUrl":"project/terrific-tools-for-learning/9999301/","projectTitle":"Terrific Tools for Learning!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Prior","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8143711_orig.png?crop=498,498,x0,y14&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1699055256701","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8143711"},{"teacherId":8160326,"projectId":10005543,"letterContent":"Technology is helping my students learn by making lessons more interactive and easier to understand. Games and quizzes on platforms like Blooket.com make learning fun and help me see what they understand right away. Students can also review lessons at their own pace, which builds confidence.\r\n\r\nThe most exciting part of the new product for students is how interactive it is. They like getting instant feedback and seeing their progress. The game-like features make learning feel more fun and less stressful. A lot of our technology is out dated and it is really exciting having more up to date options for the students with newer technology.\r\n\r\nSome students have really connected with this technology. Quieter students are more comfortable sharing their ideas online. Students who need extra support like being able to replay instructions or use built-in tools feel more successful. \r\n\r\nIn addition, the model magic has assisted us with a more interactive way to express learning in Science. The materials have really made a difference and have allowed me to teach the standards with a more hands on approach. For example, in math we are learning addition. I have used the foam dominoes as a math center. Students pick a domino and then write an addition equation from the domino and solve it. They love this activity! The students have also loved using the dice to play an addition bump game. These new games have made learning addition so fun!\r\nAs a reward for their hard work, the students are able to use the Legos, Magnatiles, and magnetic blocks to stretch their STEAM skills when they finish their work. This is very motivating for my students and they have been working very hard on the school work in order to get a chance to flex their building and imagination skills. \r\nWe also enjoy the read aloud texts as a class.
