These resources will help to fill the gaps created by the impact of COVID on my students. Flexible seating will allow my students to choose how they want to learn and comprehension cubes will help with RL.2.3 (Describe how characters in a story respond to major events and challenges) and RL.2.5 (Describe the overall structure of a story, including describing how the beginning introduces the story and the ending concludes the action). These materials will help with their social emotional learning and encourage them to communicate with each other in a positive manner. Students will bond over books with a positive message and the games will help them to become better readers, writers, and more engaged students.
