They were so excited to listen to the new stories about character development. We just recently read our book on kindness, and the students were loving making so many connections! I wish you could have seen their eyes when they saw all the new white boards and erasers they got to use during our phonics block. To say they are grateful is an understatement. \r\n\r\nSince we just celebrated Nevada Reading Week last week, students got to use their new book bins to house their books for the week. They loved getting to use the bookmarks to save their spots, and having their own bin for their books made them excited each day to jump into reading! \r\n\r\nPersonally, I have been so thankful for all of the markers and pens we now have in the classroom thanks to your generosity. Students can help make our anchor charts and annotate on writing in a much more fun and colorful way! So thank you again for supporting our classroom. It is genuinely appreciated!","fullyFundedDate":1768179125958,"projectUrl":"project/supplies-for-days/10004104/","projectTitle":"Supplies for Days","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Tornero","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp466591_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1491756426538","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/466591"},{"teacherId":8126512,"projectId":10010641,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for the contribution to fund this project. When my students saw the new materials, they could not wait to use them! They eagerly awaited our future science and math lessons.\r\n\r\nMy students love being engaged in hands on science activities. Using the refrigerator and microwave to explore the properties of materials has made a big impact on how we are able to participate in lessons. Students enjoy wearing safety goggles and it helps them to understand the importance of protecting themselves. Also, the magnifying glasses have come in handy for so many lessons already. From investigating materials, to identifying different types of sand, to studying the affects of water on materials such as chalk, students are able to examine the models up close!\r\n\r\nThe books are helping my class to enjoy and appreciate nonfiction books. They are able to learn and explore different subjects. The math games are also a lot of fun! Students are building their number sense while having fun and growing their math skills. They look forward to every chance that they can play, and are more excited about math than ever before.","fullyFundedDate":1768339471860,"projectUrl":"project/exploring-properties-of-materials-and-en/10010641/","projectTitle":"Exploring Properties of Materials and Engaging in Math!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Hogg","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8126512_orig.jpg?crop=2152,2152,x0,y373&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1700493819161","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8126512"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_65890","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":570,"numTeachers":37,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":2,"percentBlack":12,"percentWhite":36,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":35,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"15.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":64.8,"schoolId":65890,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Betsy A Rhodes Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Betsy A Rhodes Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/nevada/clark-county-school-district/betsy-a-rhodes-elementary-school/65890"}
