Covid has created a lot of isolation and loneliness with our elementary students. They have relied heavily on digital technology but are lacking that social interaction. There needs to be a creative and collaborative outlet. I want to give the students a place to belong and do something that is bigger than themselves. Musical theater gives students the ability to learn social-emotional skills. Skits allow them to practice different social settings and skits. It gets the students engaged and wanting to be a part of something great. We would use the Portable PA system to be able to hear in our Multipurpose room without yelling. This will also allow us to take our plays outside to keep with social distancing and keeping our students safe. Right now, there is not an adequate system that will support a musical theater cast. This system will be used only for the musical theater club and reach all of our students as they will be able to hear while in the audience and not have to scream while on the stage.
