This kit includes detailed lesson with materials that will help increase students' mental math using a variety of different strategies and materials. It gives a sequential order to follow in order to help further the mathematical understanding. Students will increase their number talk knowledge by learning strategies necessary for 21st century skills. This kit will support me, as a teacher, in making sure that I keep the students focused and give them the ability to try the new strategies before ultimately choosing one that is most effective for them. They will have a better understanding of number sense with a variety of strategies above and beyond number talks.
