These books will provide my students with access to books in the classroom that they can read and enjoy independently. I work hard to provide my students with books they can read in our classroom that they find both interesting and at their level. As a new teacher, I do not have as many books in my classroom library as my students deserve. In third grade, I have students still learning to read, some reading at a sixth grade level and everything in between. This has proven to make curating a classroom library a difficult (and expensive) task. Research shows the best way to increase reading ability is to read as much as possible. These books would fill my library with literature these kids are interested in and spark their desire to read more!
