This project will promote the Nevada Academic Content Standards RL.2.10 and RI.2.10 by allowing students to practice their reading comprehension, vocabulary, and fluency. My class missed out on having books in their hands last year and have not ever had a classroom library to choose leveled books from. A leveled classroom library filled with bins of leveled books will dramatically impact my students' reading achievement and their love for reading. My students will be able to choose a book at their reading level with ease and practice the reading skills they are learning each week. Students will learn a love for reading that is irreplaceable and learn how to choose a just right book from our classroom library bookshelves.
