The money we are raising will help provide our students the transportation to their 8th grade graduation practice and, we will also be able to take them on a field trip.\r\n\r\nIt has always been a struggle to pay for all the medals, plaques, transportation, and everything associated with 8th grade graduation. This year, we are not as stressed because of all of you. We are also including a field trip to the park after the graduation practice. We always used to go there before funding became so tight.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, the money raised from the snow cones will help offset the cost of field day. The immediacy of a Polaroid photo also helped visual learners reflect on their process, revise their thinking, and celebrate their achievements in a tangible way. For many students, seeing their work \"come to life\" in their hands was a powerful motivator.\r\nTogether the Polaroid camers and filament for the printers helped build a classroom culture centered on creativity, exploration, and meaningful learnin. Students collaborated more, took greater academic risks, and gained confidence in expressing their ideas.
