Everyone knows kids are always hungry. Their teachers' snacks give them food for their brains to learn and might be one of the only meals they eat for my kids. Because my students are struggling readers, having earbuds for each of my students will allow them to listen to some of the readings we read in class. Listening while following along with the text will help students with pacing and sound and syllable relationships. Lastly, a lot of students think reading is boring. Giving students interesting and real-life topics to read about will engage students and help them increase their reading comprehension.
