Add to that funding issues and it gets really difficult for teachers to stay on top of things.\r\n\r\nThrough DonorsChoose, I've been able to receive so much support from amazing donors like you to obtain technology tools that will minimize tech issues so that I can focus on my students. Thanks to the resources, I was able to both improve my teaching materials and make them more fun to look at as well allow my students to do projects that are more creative. In my Children's Literature course, the kids created their own children's books. In my Sherlock course, the kids were able to make diagrams of Baskerville Hall. Some even drew maps of the entire area- town, moor, and the hall. In my Language Arts 12 course, the kids were able to create their own fantasy or science fiction story, complete with illustrations.\r\n\r\nWe will continue on in the same strains as the ones I mentioned above. In Children's Lit, once the kids are all done with their beginning children's books, they will turn a favorite children's novel into a story book with illustrations. Later, they will illustrate several nursery rhymes to update them to modern times. In Sherlock, once we finish reading The Hound of the Baskervilles, the kids will be turning some of the Sherlock stories into short graphic novels. And in LA 12, the kids will be illustrating a poem they choose to analyze, so they will have a fun portfolio piece to display with their analysis as well as the art.","fullyFundedDate":1759181021766,"projectUrl":"project/usbe-ai-for-k12-education/9508873/","projectTitle":"Usbe Ai for K–12 Education","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Hicks","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8278997"},{"teacherId":1638333,"projectId":9630927,"letterContent":"First, THANK YOU!\r\n\r\nThe materials from this grant have already made a real difference in my online math classroom at Utah Online School. The paper I received has become my everyday workspace when meeting with students one-on-one through my camera. Writing problems by hand while they watch helps me show each step clearly and gives them the confidence to try it themselves.\r\n\r\nThe paper cutter and hole punch have helped me keep everything organized so I can easily track student progress and maintain accurate records. The PowerPoint remote has been an unexpected game-changer—it lets me move naturally during lessons and stay focused on connecting with students instead of reaching for the keyboard.\r\n\r\nThese simple tools have added efficiency, clarity, and a touch of normal classroom feel to our virtual setting. They've allowed me to spend more time teaching and less time juggling logistics. I'm deeply grateful for the generosity of those who made this possible. Your support directly impacts how well my students learn, and it truly means a lot to both them and me.","fullyFundedDate":1755827029323,"projectUrl":"project/usbe-ai-for-k-12-education-wish-list/9630927/","projectTitle":"USBE AI for K-12 Education - Wish list","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Hicks","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp1638333_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1524611752561","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/1638333"},{"teacherId":8279271,"projectId":9501747,"letterContent":"I have been able to use my supplies and especially the Apple Pencil to create videos for my students to increase engagement in my online math course.
