Some students have to learn at home because of COVID-19. Sending postcards and rewards helps my students feel connected and want to work towards something. Who doesn’t love a fun postcard or letter from their teacher? I also print out guided notes for students who don’t have a printer at home. I mail them to their house and they are able to use the guided notes in my class. I have requested ink cartridges to help print out guided notes for my students as well as postcards. I requested stamps to mail items to my students like guided notes, letters, gift cards, and rewards. I requested a lot of office supplies like sharpies, tape, paper to make the letters and incentives to send my students. Recently, I just mailed all of my students a fun Valentine’s Day card. I had a lot of students comment that they liked getting the mail and it helped them not feel bad for missing in person school on Valentine’s Day! Sending mail to my students helps them feel connected to their teacher and classroom even though they are learning at home. It’s also a fun incentive for my students to get work done so they can get something in the mail. These items will help me send guided notes and fun mail items to my students!
