When educators get together to share their best teaching practices great things happen! Four days packed with learning from other teachers, sharing experiences, collaborating, and building a professional learning network makes a difference in the lives of countless students around the world! When attending conferences, I scour the program to find sessions that apply directly to my role and content area that will help me grow and become better. During each session I attend, I look for at least one thing that I can take back and implement into my teaching. Sometimes I learn something that will make me more efficient. Sometimes I learn something that will help my students feel more a part of the learning process. Sometimes I learn something that will make the learning process easier and more engaging for everyone involved. I keep a list of these things and the resources provided for the presenters and take them back to my colleagues so that everyone can benefit from the things I've learned.
