Many of them ran their hands across the bright privacy folders and dry-erase boards with excitement, and several immediately asked, \"Can we try these today?\" One of my favorite moments happened during small-group math: a student who typically struggles with regrouping lit up when using the hands-on addition kit. She moved the manipulatives piece by piece and then looked up at me with the biggest smile and said, \"Oh! Now I get it!\" These kinds of breakthroughs are happening more often now that students can touch, manipulate, and explore their learning.\r\n\r\nThe noise-cancelling headphones have also made a huge difference for several students who are easily overwhelmed by sound. The first day we used them, one student who normally has trouble focusing during independent reading quietly told me, \"It feels easier to think.\" Our new whiteboards and markers have become a class favorite for both writing and math practice—they make learning feel low-pressure and fun, and students are more eager to participate because mistakes can be erased quickly and without frustration. The sentence-building games are already supporting stronger reading fluency during centers, and the telling-time visuals are helping students build confidence during our daily routines.\r\n\r\nNext, our class will be using these materials to begin a multi-week skills-building project in both reading and math. Students will rotate through hands-on centers where they'll practice regrouping, build sentences using sight words, strengthen writing stamina on their wipe boards, and use the headphones and privacy folders to support focus and independence. These tools are helping us create a calm, structured, and purposeful learning environment—one that truly meets each child where they are. Thank you for giving my students what they need to learn, grow, and shine every day.","fullyFundedDate":1755713673207,"projectUrl":"project/every-tool-counts-supporting-diverse-le/9527443/","projectTitle":"Every Tool Counts: Supporting Diverse Learners","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Shampa","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8725326_orig.jpg?crop=960,960,x0,y41&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1664173743111","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8725326"},{"teacherId":1521861,"projectId":9407071,"letterContent":"I am writing to express my heartfelt gratitude for your generous support and the incredible impact it has made on my classroom at Columbia Elementary.
