The raffle tickets are used for bathroom tickets. Red for our red class, blue for our blue class. All the unused tickets get put in a drawing for a prize at the end of each week. This has motivated our students to only use the restroom at the given breaks so we have less disturbance in our learning time. My students have been learning about budgeting, earning money for doing their classroom jobs, participation, helping others, desk rentals, owing money for missing assignments, late work, credit, taxes, supply, and demand, etc. Then every month they get to participate in a classroom store. They love it!! They earn alternative seating with table points and being the Star Student. They have loved being in class and our participation has gone throw the roof! They are truly so excited to learn. The alternative seating is earned from table points, or if a student has earned a yoga ball and doesn't want it, then they can rent it out to other students. I really hope that my students can get these items to continue the classroom store and learning our class.
