I want to create a classroom environment where my students can feel safe and stay healthy. If students do not feel safe, then their learning is negatively impacted. I hope that providing each student with their own tissues, their own hand sanitizer, and their own wipes will reduce the stress or fear students may be struggling with as they enter this school year. I also know that not all of my students can afford masks that are washable and that many may not remember to bring a mask. As it has been mandated by our state, and as our district is requiring masks, I want to be able to have back-up masks for students in circumstances that make bringing their own masks difficult. This way no student has to feel awkward or out of place if they forget theirs, or have to be sent home and miss out on valuable learning. I also hope by taking all of these precautions that I will be able to keep my students healthy!
