It was a big hit with first and second grade students as expected, but the third through fifth grade students were also excited to see it. They cheered each other on as they hopped from letter to letter in order to spell words. They used the rug to create alphabet pages for themselves. Because we recently finished animal and food units they enjoyed counting and naming animals and food items pictured on the rug. I have many other ideas on how to use this rug in our English learning journey. \r\n\r\nThe rug is an anchor tool in our classroom and we will continue to use it in review activities and games.
