Many of our students are learning to read, it is exciting as they sound the words out and are able to see the words come to life. They are discovering books, and are exploring how to read on their own. School is a safe haven, it is an escape for the difficulties our students encounter at home. I would like to create a comfortable, relaxing environment where students can escape into the magical world of books. I am a first year teacher and would love to expand our class library to offer more options for my students. Bean bag chairs will offer the students a comfortable place to sit as they read. Also, the guided chapter books will help as they are learning to read.
