As a school nurse, I see students every day for everything from scraped knees and headaches to stomachaches, medication administration, and unexpected health concerns. Like many school health offices, supplies disappear quickly, and there is always a worry about running low on essential items. Being able to open those boxes and fill all of my empty supply bins was an amazing feeling. For the first time in a long time, every shelf, drawer, and cabinet was fully stocked and ready for whatever the school day might bring.\r\nThe resources from this project are being used every single day. Bandages, ice packs, hygiene supplies, and basic medical necessities help me provide immediate care to students so they can return to class as quickly as possible. One of the first days after organizing the new supplies, I had several students visit the health office with minor injuries from recess and physical education classes. Instead of worrying about conserving supplies, I was able to provide exactly what each student needed. A simple bandage, an ice pack, or a hygiene item may seem small, but to a child who is hurt, uncomfortable, or embarrassed, those items can make a huge difference. The ability to respond quickly helps students feel cared for, supported, and ready to return to learning.\r\nThe students see a nurse's office that is organized, prepared, and equipped to help them. They know that when they walk through the door, the resources they need are available. Whether it is a student who needs first aid after a fall, a child with a headache who needs a quiet place to rest for a few minutes, or a student who unexpectedly needs hygiene supplies, the materials from this project allow me to meet those needs immediately.\r\nThis year alone, my nurse's office has cared for more than 1,000 student illness visits, over 170 injuries, administered thousands of scheduled medications, and supported hundreds of health screenings. Every one of those interactions represents a student who needed help in order to remain healthy, safe, and successful at school. The supplies provided through this project directly support those daily needs and help reduce the amount of instructional time students miss because of health concerns.\r\nMost importantly, these resources help create a healthier and safer learning environment for every child who walks through our doors. As a school nurse, my goal is always to remove barriers that prevent students from learning. Thanks to your generosity, I can focus on caring for students instead of worrying about whether I have enough supplies on hand. Your support has strengthened our health office and allowed me to provide the level of care our students deserve. Seeing their names printed on professional-looking certificates made the recognition feel even more meaningful. The black gift bags added a special touch as each athlete received their team shirt and keepsakes in a package they could take home and remember for years to come.\r\nThe excitement and pride on our students' faces throughout the banquet showed just how much this celebration meant to them. Our athletes work incredibly hard both in the classroom and on the playing field, and this event gave us the opportunity to celebrate those achievements in a way that felt truly special. The whistles and first aid supplies have also helped improve organization and safety during classes, recess, and schoolwide activities.\r\nThe students were excited to see the new equipment and supplies because they noticed right away that class routines ran smoother and activities started faster. Even small things like having equipment ready to go and organized safety materials helped create a more positive and structured environment for them.\r\nAs we move forward, we will continue using these resources to support active learning, teamwork activities, and schoolwide wellness events.
