Having pencils for everyone without the stress associated with not being prepared is fantastic. I have been able to purchase supplemental materials to support my math and science programs. These extra activities help keep students engaged and often give them an alternative to traditional worksheet activities. I was able to purchase task cards for each math standard, copied them onto my donated colored paper, and now I have a center activity that helps my students review or relearn specific tasks. I was able to create beautiful anchor charts to post around the classroom using the chart paper and markers. I have worked for this particular school for over two years and have been purchasing close to all the materials needed to run a functioning, cohesive classroom. The rugs you donated were so needed and beyond appreciated by the paraprofessionals in my classroom, the children in my classroom, the families of the children in my classroom, and me. The materials you supplied us with may have gone quickly; however, any help is huge help! Each morning, three of my students head straight to the reading corner where the Bojo rainbow rug lies and prior to that rug being there, few students ever went to that area of the room without being asked to.
