My students are friendly, hardworking, and resilient. They attend a K-8 school located in a low-income area of a Pennsylvania city, and most of them reside in the neighborhood around the school. Our school is extremely diverse, and my classroom alone has children from China, Vietnam, and Nicaragua, just to name a few! Due to our school's diversity, my students are tolerant and respectful to all types of people. For many of them, coming to school is the best part of their day, and they come eager to learn and spend time with their classmates. I am amazed every day at the spirit and strength of these children.
