I don't know how we would have smooshed 5 more desks in, but these tables give room for everyone while providing comfortable seating! \r\n\r\nFinally, the unexpected positive to these tables has been the subconscious expectation of socialization and group work. Since the pandemic, students have struggled to put themselves out there and talk to each other, but since we got these tables, students are talking to each other more both during group work time and with the few minutes before the bell when they can catch up with each other. It's been really fun to see! \r\n\r\nThank you so much again for your generosity! My students have had so much fun expressing themselves through art and seeing that art come to life. We've been able to hand out several surprise gifts to teachers and it's been so fun to see the pride on the student's faces as well as the joy it brings the recipients. \r\n\r\nThe students started by designing the art for the cups on their computers and from there we uploaded them to a design sight where we combined and added words if they wanted them. This reader board changes daily and features our top library patrons, most popular books or series and is a fun way to promote new books for students to read. Seeing dedicated, quality equipment instantly made the program feel valued, official, and supported. The players couldn't wait to jump right in, eagerly taking turns getting hands on with the new training gear.\r\n\r\nWe plan on putting all four resources to work by creating interactive practice stations focused on core fundamentals. Quarterbacks and receivers can use the throwing target and pitch back nets to sharpen their passing accuracy, reaction times, and catching mechanics. Meanwhile, players utilized the blocking pads and guards to safely practice legal positioning, footwork, and screening techniques for upcoming games.\r\n\r\nHaving these tools and training equipment will completely transform our practices by keeping everyone active, engaged, and focused on skill development. The instant excitement from the gear has been great across the entire roster. As a coach I'm excited to see the players translate new skills directly into team drills during practice and plays during games. When it gets up to 70 degrees outside it is 75 degrees inside. In the fall and spring it can be 85 degrees inside our classroom. School starts at 7:40 am and high school students are tired, the fans help them stay awake and engaged with their learning.
