As 2020 has gone on, it has been clear that students need many things. I want to take diverse books off of the list of things students aren't able to get this year. They deserve books that will make them feel seen and will make them want to pick up another one right away, even just to escape for a while. The students I serve have so much potential, and I want to encourage that potential by putting books in their hands that make them feel inspired. The books I've chosen are from numerous list of middle school recommendation lists, and while I'll always be looking for more books to fit each and every child to a tee, this is a most important start.

About my class
