When you funded our supply of copy paper, you provided much more than just physical materials—you unlocked countless learning opportunities for my students. Having a reliable stock of paper allowed me to print customized daily worksheets, targeted practice activities, and differentiated learning packets tailored to my students' unique needs. Instead of worrying about limited school resources, I was able to focus entirely on designing engaging lessons that helped my students grasp challenging concepts, stay organized, and build confidence in their skills every single day.\r\n\r\nThe lasting impact of your donation continues to ripple through my teaching practice. Access to printed materials meant every child, regardless of their background or technology access at home, had tangible, hands-on resources to write on, study from, and take home to share their progress with their families. Your generosity directly fostered a more equitable, interactive, and productive learning environment in our classroom. Your donation allowed me to continue to provide needed supplies to my students to allow them to be successful. The markers have been immensely helpful. With them I am able to have the students work problems and show me their answers from across the room. The students have also gotten to the point that they would rather use the markers and dry erase boards instead of paper when working out problems that are on a computer.\r\n The markers have been put to good use. I am down to less than 20 markers of the 288 you helped supply and the majority of those have been used to replace markers that were used up. Being able to print papers when a student is unable to log into a computer to do the work online or has lost a paper I had given out to the class has been very important this year. Your donation allowed me to provide my students necessary supplies the 1st day they walked into my classroom. Their is no need for them to come ask me for supplies and it eliminates any excuses they have about not having what they need to do their work. It's no secret that a hungry student is a distracted student, and your contribution has turned our \"hangry\" afternoons into productive learning sessions. Having healthy snacks and drinks readily available has provided the essential brain fuel our students need to stay sharp and engaged. We've noticed a significant boost in concentration during our core subjects, as the students are no longer preoccupied with a growling stomach and can instead focus their full attention on the lesson at hand.\r\n\r\nThe sensory toys and fidgets have been equally transformative for our classroom environment. Every student processes energy differently, and for those who struggle with the \"extra wiggles,\" these items have been a total game-changer. By providing a safe and quiet way to release excess energy, the fidgets allow students to self-regulate without disrupting their peers. It is amazing to see how a simple stress ball or textured toy can help a child ground themselves, find their calm, and get back to work. The rate of \"I lost my journal\" is very low (one or two of 125 students). The students who made this claim most likely took them home, because many students asked to do so. Personalization is so important at this stage in their lives. Students in late childhood/early 10 or 11 are beginning to form their personalities, set goals and figure out how they fit into the world. My students were highly motivated to write when they found they could decorate their journals and that they would be safe here at school. Most students had not yet internalized the format and traditions of journal-writing (date, topic or name of books/source, writing daily and legibly). This exercise in journal writing is slowly helping students to internalize these writing/journaling traditions. Learning to write in a journal helps reluctant readers to translate what they have learned (read) into words after having reflected on their reading.","fullyFundedDate":1760454145396,"projectUrl":"project/a-reading-journal-4-me/9797086/","projectTitle":"A Reading Journal 4 Me","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Carter","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7991024_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1681353933498","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7991024"},{"teacherId":8393524,"projectId":9242311,"letterContent":"Thank you for supporting this project!
