My students use a block schedule and can be in my room for up to 2.5 hours at a time. The work they do is a combination of classroom instruction by me and individualized learning via computer. During individualized learning the students have a chance to use flexible seating to allow them to be more comfortable and allow them to concentrate on what they are supposed to be learning and not concentrate on the fact they have been sitting in a hard chair for 2 hours. The floor mats I requested will help them to do this by giving them a comfortable area to sit on the floor.
