We use the workbooks for independent practice, small-group instruction, review, and extra support when students need more time with a concept. They also help students build confidence by allowing them to see their progress and celebrate their successes.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the new materials, they were excited to have something that was specifically theirs to use. They were eager to look through the workbooks and begin working on the activities. Having high-quality materials that students can write in and use regularly has helped make math practice feel more meaningful and engaging.\r\n\r\nOur next step is to continue using the IXL workbooks alongside our current math lessons. Students will apply the skills they are learning in class, practice independently, and use the materials to review skills they have previously learned. My goal is for students to become more confident, independent mathematicians who are willing to keep trying even when a problem is challenging.\r\n\r\nThank you to our donors for helping provide these resources and giving my students another way to practice, grow, and experience success in mathematics.","fullyFundedDate":1776440572923,"projectUrl":"project/build-foundational-skills/10099989/","projectTitle":"Build Foundational Skills","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Swanson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10177610_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1755455215253","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10177610"},{"teacherId":3993606,"projectId":10381391,"letterContent":"Because of your generosity, our seventh-grade students have had access to snacks throughout the school year, and the impact has been greater than we could have imagined. Many of our students come to school carrying challenges that extend far beyond the classroom. Having a variety of individually packaged snacks available has allowed us to meet an immediate need so students can refocus on learning. Whether a student forgot breakfast, has a long afternoon ahead, or simply needs a quick boost of energy, these snacks have helped keep them engaged in class and ready to participate.\r\n\r\nWhen the snacks first arrived, our students were genuinely excited and incredibly appreciative. Something as simple as being offered a snack communicates that someone cares about them. We've seen students express gratitude, share kind words, and even encourage classmates to take a snack if they needed one. These small moments have helped foster a positive and supportive classroom environment where students feel valued and cared for.\r\n\r\nAs the school year continues, these snacks will remain an important part of supporting our students' success. They will be available during classroom instruction, small-group interventions, tutoring sessions, testing days, and other times when students need an extra boost to stay focused.
