As I transition into a new grade level, classroom, and curriculum, your generosity means so much to me. This year, one of my goals is to challenge my students to become more organized, responsible learners and to develop habits that will help them stay on top of their work.\r\n\r\nThe printer and cardstock will be especially helpful because I will be able to conveniently create and print materials while students are in class. I can quickly make flash cards, review activities, posters, classroom signs, and other resources that help students organize their learning and keep important information easily accessible. The highlighters and Sharpies will also help students organize their interactive notebooks, identify important information, and take greater ownership of their work. The new desk chair will provide a comfortable space for me to plan, prepare, and create these materials for my students.\r\n\r\nI am incredibly appreciative of your support as I begin this new chapter. To have the chance to come back and now be their teacher makes this experience incredibly special. We already have relationships and memories together, and I am so excited to continue watching them grow.\r\n\r\nThis year has been a big change for me as I move into a new classroom, teach a new grade level, and begin a completely new curriculum. There have been a lot of new things to learn and adjust to, so having these resources arrive and knowing that I have the support of generous donors makes this transition feel even more meaningful. The rolling whiteboard, lapboards, pencils, storage totes, and games will give my students new ways to learn, practice problem-solving, and work together. The games will also allow students to build teamwork and social skills while enjoying time with their classmates. The diffuser and essential oils will help create a calm and welcoming atmosphere where students can feel comfortable and ready to learn.\r\n\r\nI am truly appreciative of your generosity and the opportunity you have given my students. The shadow night-light project with the 3D printer and tea lights helped students see their ideas come to life while learning design and problem-solving skills. Creating our classroom social contract and anchor charts using the markers and easel paper gave students ownership of our space and helped build a respectful, supportive environment, while the soft lighting helps keep the room calm and focused. Using the vinyl cutter with mugs has allowed students to practice real design skills, be precise, and take pride in their work. Their reactions were priceless; several students immediately wanted to check the grip. For many of them, seeing these materials in person made the project feel \"real.\" It wasn't just about getting new gear; it was the realization that a community of supporters believed in their potential enough to invest in their success. That initial moment of excitement has transitioned into a renewed sense of pride during our daily activities.\r\n\r\nWe are already thinking about how we'll be putting these resources to use during our skill-development sessions and team-building exercises in late Spring. For the first time in a while, we will have enough equipment for every small group to run drills simultaneously. Instead of students standing in long lines waiting for a turn, everyone was active, engaged, and practicing their technique at the same time. This will completely shift the tempo of our sessions, allowing us to focus on precision and teamwork rather than logistics.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has provided much more than just sports equipment; you have given these students the resources to train with motivation to push themselves further. The room has become even more of a calm, comfortable, and focus filled thanks to you!\r\n\r\nThe moment those boxes arrived in my classroom, my student's excitement was loud! When they saw the chairs, they excitedly started asking how they could earn a spot in the \"Cozy Corner.\" Now, each week, three \"star students\" from every class period earn the privilege of sitting there. It has become one of the most motivating/positive classroom management tools I've used! I've watched students who sometimes struggle with focus make intentional choices to stay on task and participate because they want to earn that reward. My favorite is when they feel proud when they do, celebrating their reward! \r\n\r\nIt is any ELA teacher's dream to see their students curled up with their books, completely immersed. Additionally, the air purifier humming quietly in the background + easy access to hand sanitizer may seem small, but those details matter. My students know their health, comfort, feelings and safety are a priority, and now they feel even more cared for.\r\n\r\nThe birthday stickers and snacks have also been such a special touch! I know that for some students, school may be the only place their birthday is recognized. Seeing their faces light up when we celebrate is priceless. I love to make their day a big deal as it sends the message: You matter here!!!\r\n\r\nWe are currently diving deeper into a literary analysis and writing unit inspired by The Hunger Games. The students have already calling checking out the other Hunger Games books from the series. After we read, students will analyze character decisions, themes of resilience and justice, and create their own dystopian story concepts. My goal is to build their confidence in their voices as writers. \r\n\r\nBecause of you, my classroom feels warm, healthy, and extra joyful. Most importantly, it feels like a place where students are seen, safe, and supported.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in my incredible 7th graders. Your support has provided our young men with the tools they need to take their game to the next level. We've been using the new 55-gallon training cans and they have already made a huge impact on our practice sessions.\r\n\r\nThe first day we brought the cans out, the team was excited. It might not seem like much, but our guys immediately recognized that these weren't just props—they were a new tool for mastering their technique. They were eager to get their hands on them and start drilling. It was awesome to see their focus and determination as they worked on their footwork, hand placement, and blocking techniques. We immediately put them to use by creating a pass protection drill, where players practiced their kick-slide and proper angles around the cans. The ability to simulate a rusher allowed them to get a realistic feel for maintaining their depth and balance. It was great to see them go from understanding the concepts on the whiteboard to executing them on the field with confidence.\r\nThese new resources have made a difference. They've not only improved our practice sessions but also boosted the team's confidence. Your contribution has reinforced that their hard work is valued and that people believe in their potential. \r\nYour generosity has given these young men the opportunity to develop their skills and grow as a team.
