The addition of Capibara con Botas will help my Spanish students learn Spanish through reading comprehension. While reading about the story of a Capibara and his adventures through the Amazon Rainforest in South America, they can acquire a new language and learn about Hispanic culture and the Geography of South America. These types of novels make learning a new language fun and interesting. Reading helps students visualize what they are learning and keeps them interested and engaged. It provides lots of vocabulary and repetition and allows students to come together and discuss what they have read about. My students really enjoy these novels and El Capibara con Botas will make a great addition to our class library.
