Receiving the new materials from this project has made such a positive impact on the cooking labs the students participate in during class. I am continually assessing ways in which I could add to and improve the classroom space for the benefit of the students. Due to the amount of use, many of the kitchen materials become worn and are broken, so I was very excited to receive the new set of dinnerware and beverageware that allowed me to improve the materials offered within each lab kitchen space.\r\n\r\nThe students have already had the opportunity to work with the new materials in the kitchen spaces. It may seem so simple, but having the new plates and drinking glasses in the kitchen spaces has allowed the students to become more interested and investing in creating ascetically pleasing presentations of the food(s) that they prepare.\r\n\r\nThe students work in the kitchen at least once a week, so the kitchen materials are utilized regularly. I am hoping our cleaning regimen is helping to slow these cases down. We received volleyball equipment that is necessary for our team to be successful. My players are using the volleyball equipment during off-season workouts. The extra volleyballs are beneficial so that more girls can be involved in all of the drills. It takes less time to complete drills with the extra volleyballs. This means that more girls can get more repetitions; therefore, they will become better players.\r\n\r\nMy players were thrilled to receive the new equipment! There were excited to receive the extra volleyballs. This means that they can all participate at the same time and no one has to sit out of drills.\r\n\r\nMy players are working diligently with this new equipment. Often their Moodle assignments involve watching video clips or listening to instructors' recorded lectures. Until now, we had no headphones for the students to use in completing these assignments, so they just had to listen to the audio at a very low level to keep from disturbing their classmates. \r\n\r\nWe were in need of some headphones for these students in the worst way, especially since our school's technology policy prevents them from using their own Bluetooth earbuds (these days, none of them have wired headphones). So, long story short, the only solution was for us to provide equipment for their use. \r\n\r\nNow, because of this project, our CCP students may borrow a set of headphones whenever they need them, and they've commented about how much better it is to be able to listen to the audio at an acceptable volume using the headphones.
