Many students are eager to start the day knowing they can select what helps them feel calm and ready. We have begun using them after lunch. When the students come back from lunch and recess, they come in the class with a lot of energy. While the small group is meeting me, they have one hand playing with the small fidget while also concentrating on the lesson at hand. All of the items we received made such an impact. We now have enough paper, stools for flexible seating, ink for the printer, tissues, and cleaning wipes. The tissues came just in time as we did not have any left in the class. The cleaning wipes really come in handy to keep our classroom free of germs and clean up after our celebrations. Having enough ink to print means we do not have to limit the amount of things we do and resources we have. Now there's enough to make sure every student has what they need. The stools not only impacted how many students can now fit at our desk but they love to use them around the rug too during morning meeting. Some even prefer to use them over the classroom chair at their desk. Having options really bring joy to the kids and has really made learning more fun and comfortable.
