This current school year I am teaching Second Graders. We spend the majority of our day together on the rug. We begin our day building our classroom community during morning meeting. We play fun games and share about ourselves in a very welcoming and safe space. We sit on our rugs for read alouds, mini reading and writing lessons, math, science and social studies! Our carpet from this past year has a lot of stains, its worn out and very old! These students deserve to come into a classroom that is clean and inviting! They deserve a carpet that will be "home base" for the larger part of our day! I want them to be excited and ready to learn once they come up to the carpet!! Thank you so much for your help!
