My students come to school eager to learn everyday yet our classroom is missing a few necessary items. Our rug is old and stained and we don't have enough hands on classroom materials so the students can explore math and literacy. My school is a Title 1 school with students coming from an urban area and low income families. My students are excited and ready to learn each and everyday. They love coming to school and seeing their friends and teachers. For some, it's even an escape for a few hours providing them with stimulating activities and a safe place. I spend a lot of my own money to provide everyday materials for them but now we need the bigger stuff and the schools budget is limited.
