Having an attractive and organized environment not only is visually appealing but also shows a skill that is useful when it comes to studying and effective work habits. My day consists of pulling groups of four to six struggling readers every twenty minutes for guided reading/writing. Each groups consists of readers on a specific level. The baskets and bags will help organize the materials needed for each group which will have motivation to learn! With little time to spare between groups, it is crucial that the lessons and all materials needed are easily accessible so that no valuable learning time is lost. The caddies will hold all the tools needed for the children to do their work. The magnetic letters, bars and cards are needed during word study section of each lesson. Children learn new vocabulary, work on phonics, reading skills and strategies and complete a guided reading activity with each lesson. The materials will help make each lesson a success!
