Having the baskets to help my students learn to organize their desks has been priceless. Their desks look amazing and they are able to keep them neat so that they can easily find the books or items they need. The math manipulatives are so helpful. My students are using them to help solve addition and subtraction equations. Our homework notebooks are quickly being decorated with our smelly stickers, a quick and easy reward for working hard on our homework each night. Finally, our library is organized with the colored stickers in a way that each student can understand. This makes sure each book makes it back to its proper basket. This way the books are waiting for the next student to borrow. I realize this project looked like a bunch of random items, but to our classroom these are all important and helpful tools to help ensure we have a successful year.
