COVID-19 hit us all hard! Nothing has been easy for anyone, especially my students. I am a NYC educator in a Title I School where the majority of my students are english Language Learners. I was teaching my students remotely during this pandemic and after teaching on line for 6 hours every school day my school laptop stopped working. I am so excited to be back in the classroom with my students. These students have not set foot in a classroom for 18 months. A new MacBook will provide me an opportunity to fill in the gaps that my students faced during this pandemic. I want to be able to utilize every opportunity to help my students. Having a MacBook can help me create innovative technology integrated lessons for my students. It can help me tremendously when creating differentiated lessons and modifications for my students with special needs. I need the MacBook to connect to the Smartboard in my classroom for all students to utilize as well as small group instruction to display books, videos and tools for teaching. "Technology is just a tool. In terms of getting the kids working together and motivating them, the teacher is the most important."(Bill Gates)
