The children were so surprised! We gave the 5th graders their hats and gloves during the winter time which was perfect for the New York snowstorms this year. However, even with the warmer weather approaching, we still have students wearing their gear.\r\n\r\nThe water bottles are special gifts for the fifth graders this Spring. The sun is peaking out, the kids are active and love to play outside. The water bottles will help them stay hydrated! They are going to be personalizing and decorating these gifts from you with water bottle stickers, making them their own.\r\n\r\nThe snacks were a hit! They lasted long enough to give our teacher pockets a break from providing snack for the class. Thank you for helping make their last year in elementary school a memorable one.","fullyFundedDate":1768777064642,"projectUrl":"project/warmth-care-and-hunger/10040901/","projectTitle":"Warmth, Care, and Hunger","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Battle","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10412402"},{"teacherId":3838856,"projectId":10052050,"letterContent":"This project has made a meaningful difference in my fifth grade classroom by creating a space where students feel safe, supported, and ready to learn. The calming supplies—such as fidgets, coloring materials, and the cozy bean bag—have given students healthy, productive ways to manage their emotions. I've seen students who previously struggled to stay focused now able to regulate themselves and re-engage in their work more quickly. The posters and resources have also helped us build a shared language around emotions, self-awareness, and resilience, which strengthens both individual growth and our classroom community as a whole.\r\n\r\nBecause of these materials, I've been able to more intentionally incorporate social-emotional learning into our daily routines. Students now have access to tools that help them take ownership of their feelings, problem-solve, and return to learning with confidence. This has not only improved focus and behavior, but has also allowed me to spend more time teaching and connecting with my students rather than redirecting them. As a teacher in an integrated classroom, this has made a meaningful impact on students with special needs and the class as a whole.\r\nThank you for supporting our classroom in such a meaningful way.","fullyFundedDate":1769299371574,"projectUrl":"project/tools-for-calm-minds-and-caring-hearts/10052050/","projectTitle":"Tools for Calm Minds and Caring Hearts","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Schafer","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3838856"},{"teacherId":7483164,"projectId":10039389,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for all the donations! \r\nThe hats and gloves were put to good use during those chilly winter months!
