Before we returned from winter break, I received several emails asking what day they were supposed to wear their scrubs. Many played it off by saying they just didn't want to lose points or be the only one not wearing theirs, but when I saw them on campus among their peers, they were smiling.\r\n\r\nI emphasized that the scrubs they are wearing might be the first of many in their lifetime. Many of these students are pursuing long and exciting careers in the healthcare field, and these scrubs are a preview of what's to come. When the day arrived to hand them out, many students were excited and immediately asked to go to the bathroom to try them on. I know many were checking the size, but how many students rush off right away just to check the size of a uniform?\r\n\r\nI would like to continue this DonorsChoose project as an annual event as new students enter Hug High School's Sports Medicine CTE program.
