I'm a School Counselor working with diverse students in a Title I high school. Our students can be creative, kind, motivated, determined and willing to do what it takes to be successful, however they are faced with many stress inducing obstacles. Poverty is high on that list at any given time. Unfortunately the last two years has increased everyone's stress level. Many students simply do not have the coping skills to manage their stress, which of course impedes their learning. I will work with students to learn how to manage stress and regulate their emotions. These activities can be tied to Self Management standards for high school health (7.SM.HS.1, 7.SM.HS.2, 7.SMHS.3)
