A Wearable Business Plan will create a long lasting project helping students understand business concepts through collaboration, design and communication. It will integrate business math, design and artistic creativity.
During this project students will create a business plan based on a t-shirt company that will be pitched in front of their peers and select staff members similar to Shark Tank. The business plan will contain marketing, price, short/long-term goals and management design.
To engage and motivate students, select groups will design, create and sell their shirt designs while using their business plan for guidance and direction. They will by hand use the materials to create and sell t-shirts as a fundraiser for a senior gift. The transaction of money will have to be transferred through the Math department and if students want to purchase additional shirts they will have to borrow from that math department as well.
Overall this putting a business plan and making it semi-realistic and hopefully will inspire students to create their own businesses and understand the costs of create products or services.
