These items will be directly used to accomplish NVACS 1.12.1 Demonstrate proficiency in multiple movement forms in physical activities. NVACS 1.12.3 Execute complex motor skills and various movement patterns within physical activities. 3.12.1 Engage in a variety of moderate to vigorous physical activities. These timers would help my students pace themselves to improve their weekly power walking or jogging mile times. They will have a visual for themselves so that they can see how they are doing individually. Students have not had access to a regular physical education curriculum and their personal lives have become more sedentary with social distancing requirements, lack of in-person physical education classes, and a lack of youth sports.
