My middle school follows a team system, where students are grouped into college-inspired teams for their middle school experience. This gives them a sense of belonging during this challenging time in their lives! Our team is the UCLA Bruins, and our brilliant bears need some nice, new copies of "Crash" and "Refugee." These stories relate to my students beautifully, since they are trying to cope with emotions, difficult situations, and growing up, just like the main characters are doing. I know that we will enjoy reading these narratives together and I want my students to expand their love for reading in the process.
