In the past, I have had to use my own resources and income to supplement my dream of keeping a classroom store. While this work is my calling, the reality is that any additional help that communities are willing to provide makes both my store more abundant with interesting prizes for my students, and easier for me to maintain for each group of students that rolls through. I want to give you a picture of how these prizes work to enrich my classroom, and create a fun community vibe while also motivating students to work towards their goals:\r\n\r\nStudents keep a stamp sheet in their folder that they earn stamps on by working on their openers, helping me clean the room, helping their peers on projects or assignments, Participating in discussions or activities, or generally being kind or helpful. Through this they are able to save up for many different prizes that I offer in my shop. Your donation helps me keep a stock of diverse choices, to meet the interests or preferences of a diverse population of 150 students. While I love fostering the intrinsic love for learning in my students, I also believe that they should be paid for what they produce! I am compensated for my work, otherwise I would not being to be in my dream job. I believe that they should be as well.
