The stress balls and fidget toys were a huge hit for the students and their classroom teachers-I have given them to so many children, many of whom are not even on my caseload! \r\n\r\nPlay-Doh is always fun, but due to the plethora of illnesses that one finds in elementary schools, sharing items is not always a good idea. The huge shipment of Play-Doh made it possible for each student to have their own jars. Having something to manipulate makes the hard work of improving their speech and language skills more enjoyable (and their attention is better!)\r\n\r\nThe puppets have quickly become a favorite in our room. Even my quietest students have begun using them to act out stories, practice conversational turns, and share thoughts they typically keep inside.
