A few have even expressed interest in writing their own mysteries!\r\n\r\nThe playing cards have also been a tremendous hit! The students use them often to practice their multiplication facts. Their favorite game to play is War. As an added bonus, using the cards to play math games is also teaching the students to use good sportsmanship.\r\n\r\nIn addition to the texts and playing cards, everything else funded in this project has been greatly appreciated. I am so grateful for your kindness and generosity. My students enjoy using them everyday. \r\n\r\nIn the mornings, students are able to use the board games to have a slow enjoyable start to our morning. These games also help them learn how to strategize and build relationships.\r\n\r\nThe whiteboards, erasers and markers are the supplies used most often. They are used everyday during math. Students start by using them during our whole group math warm up. They also use them instead of scratch paper to complete math tasks. Whiteboard work serves as a great tool for me to do quick observations of student understanding.\r\n\r\nThe paper cutter, laminating sheets and card stock have made it possible to create fun resources to use in my classroom. These are used for task cards and fun engaging activities. One moment that really stood out was when a younger student came in very upset after a small scrape at recess. As soon as they got to pick out a cute bandage, their whole mood changed.
