The novel sets chosen will be a great addition to our classroom library. Many students did not have access to chapter books while they were out of the classroom for a year and a half. The opportunity to have their own chapter book in their hand will help to foster the love of reading many have missed. There are many gaps in their learning. Being able to have books at different levels will be ideal for helping them grow as learners and as readers. One thing is for sure, they have missed reading with one another and as a class. Reading together is our favorite part of the day. Having this project funded helps to reach my goal of having students become more proficient readers and spark their love for reading. The following standards will be addressed: NVACS ELA 3.RL.1, 3.RL.3, 3.RL. 4-6, 3.RL.10
