Your generosity has transformed our classroom's \"Super Star Student of the Week\" program from a simple title into a highlight of the school year. I am so excited to share the joy your support has brought to my students.\r\n\r\nThe Big Reveal\r\nWhen the boxes of craft supplies and project materials arrived, the excitement was palpable. I wish you could have seen their faces! As we unpacked the colorful papers, glitter, markers, and building materials, one student asked, \"Are these really for us to make things with?\"\r\n\r\nThat moment was about more than just supplies; it was the moment my students realized that there is a community of people out there who want to celebrate their hard work. They were immediately brainstorming what they would create when it was their turn to be the Super Star.\r\n\r\nPutting Creativity to Work\r\nWe have been using these resources specifically to honor our Super Stars of the Week. When a student earns this title through their hard work and kindness, they now get dedicated \"Creator Time\" with the new materials.\r\n\r\nJust last week, our Super Star used the supplies to create a [insert specific craft, e.g., 3D model of their favorite animal / a \"Vision Board\" of their goals]. Seeing their classmates gather around to admire the finished project was incredible. Instead of just getting a certificate, the student got to express their personality and share their talents with the whole room. Your donation has turned \"being good\" into \"doing something amazing.\"\r\n\r\nWhat's Next for Our Stars\r\nThe momentum hasn't stopped! Our next step is to use these materials for a \"Super Star Gallery Walk\" at the end of the month. Each student who has earned the honor will display the craft or project they made with your donated supplies.\r\n\r\nBecause of you, my students are more motivated than ever to be leaders in the classroom. They aren't just working toward a title; they are working toward the chance to create, explore, and shine. Thank you for investing in their confidence and their creativity.","fullyFundedDate":1758636738246,"projectUrl":"project/star-of-the-week-celebrating-growth-co/9431721/","projectTitle":"Star of the Week: Celebrating Growth, Confidence, and Student Success","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Maryott","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7874673_orig.jpg?crop=1182,1182,x0,y197&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1689706409614","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7874673"},{"teacherId":6308888,"projectId":9994702,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generous support, my kindergarten students are learning in new and meaningful ways that meet them right where they are developmentally. With headphones, students can focus on interactive lessons, listen to stories read aloud, and practice skills at their own pace without distractions. This allows me to differentiate instruction so every child, whether they need extra support or an added challenge, can grow with confidence.\r\n\r\nThe most exciting part for my students is having tools that make learning feel engaging and empowering. They love using the light table with magnetic translucent chips to explore addition and subtraction, counting, and shapes in a hands-on way. They are especially proud when they can independently use learning apps while listening through their headphones. These tools turn practice into play and help students stay motivated and focused during learning centers.\r\n\r\nWith technology and hands-on materials, these students feel more successful because they can listen, repeat, and interact with lessons at their own pace. Their confidence has grown, and they are more willing to participate, take risks, and celebrate their learning. Thank you for giving my students the tools they need to thrive. The new ball rack, chalk, and ball pump have completely transformed our recess time. Instead of balls rolling all over the playground, students now help place them neatly on the rack. The ball rack has also allowed us to keep a small first aid kit right where we need it. One special moment was watching students remind each other, \"Put it back on the rack so everyone can play,\" showing pride, responsibility, and teamwork during recess.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new equipment, they were thrilled. The bright chalk immediately inspired drawings, hopscotch games, while the ball rack made them feel like our playground had its own \"sports station.\" They were especially excited when I was able to pump up the balls, cheering when a flat ball became ready to use again. Recess quickly became more organized, calmer, and safer. The students felt proud to take ownership of their play space.\r\n\r\nThanks to you, our next steps include using recess as an extension of classroom learning. Students are practicing sharing, turn-taking, and problem-solving while playing games they create together with chalk. We are also connecting these experiences to social-emotional lessons about cooperation, caring for shared materials, and helping friends when they get hurt.
