The math games are a key part of our small group rotations, where students practice skills like fractions, ratios, and operations in a hands-on, engaging way. I'm seeing more meaningful conversations as students explain their thinking and work through problems together. The whiteboard markers are something we use constantly for quick checks, problem-solving, and showing work, which keeps everyone actively involved. When my students first saw the materials, they were genuinely excited, especially about the games and snacks. The snacks help keep them focused and ready to learn, and having pencils available means students always have what they need to be successful.\r\n\r\nEven the cleaning supplies are making a difference in our daily routine. We're keeping our classroom space clean and organized, and students are taking more ownership of their environment. Moving forward, I'm continuing to build these materials into our math routines by expanding small group rotations and using the games to reinforce both current concepts and review skills throughout the year. The whiteboards help me quickly assess understanding and adjust instruction in the moment, and consistent access to supplies allows us to spend more time focused on learning. Overall, these resources are helping create a classroom where students feel prepared, engaged, and more confident in math.","fullyFundedDate":1768167518701,"projectUrl":"project/make-math-fun-for-all-students/10001133/","projectTitle":"Make Math Fun for all Students","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Snarr","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10237356"},{"teacherId":10405203,"projectId":10025617,"letterContent":"Thank you for supporting our classroom. Having tons of highlighters pens pencils enables the kids to get straight to their work. Additionally so many of them still forget to bring chargers or they go bad and having a charging station is crucial. I used the chargers and the station recently when there was high stakes SBAC testing. Their chromebook would not work for a variety of reasons so immediately i directed them to get an extra and problem solved. Having supplies that are basic is invaluable when it is such a struggle some days to get them engaged as soon as they enter the class. If you wait too long your momentum can get off and the kids get to rambunctious.\r\n\r\nKids now a days have a very short attention span and having everything ready and not running out eliminates any unnecessary distractions from instruction time. I find myself able to focus more on classroom management because my basic needs as a teacher are met. The chromebook cart is really cool because the kids know where to plug in their devices. The case is easy to use and the charging system wires are protected and the charger stays with the case which is good because some times chargers that are borrowed by the kids walk outside of the class because the students forget to give them back.","fullyFundedDate":1768673017310,"projectUrl":"project/dr-stockwell-science-class-update-and-r/10025606/","projectTitle":"Dr. Stockwell Science Class Update and Revitalize","teacherDisplayName":"Dr. Stockwell","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9351718_orig.png?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1768515038991","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9351718"},{"teacherId":9373107,"projectId":10019870,"letterContent":"The donated supplies were put to excellent use through several engaging activities undertaken by my 8th-grade students.\r\n\r\nWith the arrival of these new materials, students were able to transform a simple cardstock base into a deeply moving Holocaust ID folder. Each project featured a precisely transcribed fact sheet detailing the subject's life before the war, while adjacent panels were dedicated to original drawings and poems that captured the somber reality of the era. By drafting journal entries from the perspective of the featured individual, students created an immersive narrative that honored each person's legacy. This blend of tactile materials allowed them to move beyond a standard report, resulting in a layered, respectful memorial that combined historical rigor with heartfelt artistic detail.\r\n\r\nThe students also put the supplies to work in a more analytical capacity, using the vibrant colored pencils to transform dense reading passages into clear, annotated maps of ideas. They established a color-coded system to distinguish between primary arguments and supporting evidence, ensuring a deeper grasp of the text. Once this analytical work was finished, they shifted to the creative portion of the task, utilizing those same pencils to shade accompanying images. The smooth lead allowed for seamless blending and rich pigment, turning a standard worksheet into a polished, visually engaging project that reflected both their reading comprehension and their attention to detail.\r\n\r\nThese materials will continue to be used in multiple upcoming activities and projects throughout the school year. It was such a rewarding moment to see their happy faces glow in excitement. Before students start their state/language test, they attend conferences to talk about everything test. Post conferences, they are given snacks. Students were not only excited to eat their snacks, they were also excited to play with their given fidget toy and to help them relieve test anxiety.\r\nThe sharpener I got for the classroom alongside the snacks has been so useful to all the students. They don't call it the sharpener -- they call it the \"pro-sharpener.\" Having this item in the room has been life changing. Now students aren't continuously turning their hands to sharpen, they're simply inserting, waiting, and writing. Your contribution provided opportunities for us all to engage with our standards coherently. Students were able to recognize their abilities through problem solving and through using their reasoning. The skills and self esteem developed was very evident in all of the creations, conversations, and their excitement for learning as we engaged with various topics. We have been able to display our thinking using the whiteboards and manipulatives. Students collaborated with each other and we had so much flexibility with the boards on wheels to allow more options for teamwork. The boards on wheels also allowed me to utilize small group instruction more effectively as well.\r\n\r\nHaving these resources available supported me as the teacher to deepen their understanding and challenge my practices. For example, I planned purposeful questions and just allowed students to explore. Through their explorations so much was revealed every time and that allowed me to emphasize on their own displays and examples instead of my own ready made examples. The goal for me as the educator is to move away from instruction that is not producing agency for the students. I want to be consistent, allow for cohesive representations, and develop my strategies. Your donation allowed me to support the students through their thinking.\r\n\r\nStudents demonstrated their thinking through use of models. We constructed arguments based off of those models. We plan to continue utilizing the practice we have had speaking and presenting our reasoning to continue debates as we close out the year. Through constructed arguments students can come to multiple ways for solutions, use vocabulary both for their writing and speaking, also enhance their conceptual understanding.","fullyFundedDate":1768678284822,"projectUrl":"project/math-representations/10011860/","projectTitle":"Math Representations","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Lamar","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9349295"},{"teacherId":9357817,"projectId":10029746,"letterContent":"This project has transformed my classroom into an engaging, hands-on learning environment where students are excited to participate and take ownership of their work.
