As a life long reader myself, my goal is to instill a love for books in my students. I know that families are busier more than ever now, but if my students can steal away 10 or 20 minutes a night to read, I consider that a win. Many of my students read more, but many do not have the time or resources for nightly reading. The books about the sun/moon/earth lead to building their own solar system. Roller coasters come from another. All of these books give them the vocabulary and understanding of how things work.
